In the system of national museums of the country, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum is considered as one of the crucial museum in maintaining and promoting the treasure of cultural, artistic heritages of Vietnamese ethnic communities. Visiting the Museum, viewer can understand the entire history of Vietnam fine arts through the collections, exhibits that are displayed here.
The Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum (Bao Tang My Thuat Viet Nam) is open Tuesday to Sunday from 8:00 to noon and 13:30 to 16:30. Admission is 20,000 Dong (1.20 USD). The museum is located at 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street. It is just across the street from the back wall of the Temple of Literature, so a visit to the museum can be combined with a visit to the temple. Note that no photography is allowed inside the museum, and bags must be checked in lockers located near the ticket booth.

The museum displays approximately 10,000 historical artifacts. It also possesses numerous fine arts such as ancient stone sculptures, antique pottery, ethnic minority paintings, and lacquer ware.

Access by car/bus: 7 min. from Hanoi centre.
